The reason Alice eats the mushroom is to accomplish her goal of growing taller. but on the latter Alice drinks from the bottle that says "drink me" is that she trusts the note after checking the label for poison and yet if she wouldn't drank from the bottle she would of never had to eat the mushroom. While talking to the caterpillar he asks who she is. Alice says that she is not herself is because she doesn't know everything that she had known previously to following the rabbit. In the book Alice decides that since the child was an awful baby that she thought it made a rather handsome pig so the baby was a pig.

By "Alice decides" do you mean that this is a world in Alice's very own mind? If so, that is a very interesting theory.
