The reason Alice interrupts the dormouse's story is because she wants him to get to the main point of the story and stop beating around the bush. The cat in my opinion is neither a friend or a foe it just appears when its most crucial for Alice and all that the cat does is say riddles and puns to herto make Alice more confused and criouse. The reason he puts his watch in the butter is because it stops working. The reason that the Queen is so mad all the time and beheads everyone who steps one inch out of line is she is the Queen of Wonderland and wants everybody to know it.Perhaps when she was a kid everyone made fun of her and now she is really insecure and the only way she makes it
through the day is by making everyone scared of her.

I don't think the reason why Alice interrupts the story is quite accurate. I think that maybe she was concerned about the mouse's accuracy. What do you think? The last answer regarding the queen's mean demeanor is vague at best. Could it be she wants to make sure everyone knows she is in charge?
