The Dormouse's story was about three sisters: Elsie, Lacie, and Tillie and where they lived at the bottom of a treacle well. The point of painting roses would be that the Queens men planted white roses instead of red ones and had to fix the problem because the Queen sees red roses as a symbol of power . Yes the Queen is in charge of Wonderland because she tells even the King what to do in this chapter. The riddle of how the raven is like a writing desk simply has no answer. The portrayal of the cat slowly fading away on the cover of the book is to show how everything that goes on in the book is happening but at the same time it isn't to some because the things that happen in the story are not logical or believable. A treacle-well is a well that contains a syrup/mollases in it. The author puts the riddle about the raven being like a writing desk in the story to make people simply think a little more.

I want you to add the answers to these questions to your post.

1. Describe what a treacle-well would look like.
2. Why would there be a story with a raven like a writing desk. Why does the author include this in the story?
