Alice follows the rabbit because she is curious little girl looking for answers. The story the mouse tells is shaped like it because it is a metaphor. A tail for a tale. The caucus-race was different from a a regular race because everybody won and started whenever they wanted. On a regular race only one person wins and you all start the race together. The race showed how much different wonderland was.

makes sense
great on the reason for the shape of the story, i didnt even realize that as a reason for it because i just quickly read and answered the question with discussion and little time, but good job on keeping it simple and to the point.
