The little crocodile wants his tale to be even shinier than what it already is. The little crocodile thinks that he can do this by pouring the water of the Nile on to every golden scale. Alice follows the rabbit because she wants to know what other weird things could possible go on and the fact that she is a little girl doesn’t help her curiosity. The story the mouse tells is shaped like a mouse tail because as he is telling the story Alice is watching his tail.
